Bothenhampton Home Watch
In some areas of our village the Home Watch has been running for several years, in other parts it only started recently.
As most people are aware the scheme is organised through Dorset Police who contact local co-ordinators. They pass on relevant information connected to crime in the area to other householders in order that they can be more vigilant when they know that a particular criminal is operating in the area. It also works in reverse and there have been several times when Home Watch have been contacted by a villager when he or she has become suspicious or alarmed. This all helps to reduce crime.
