MINUTES OF THE BOTHENHAMPTON & WALDITCH PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL, BOTHENHAMPTON ON MONDAY 8TH AUGUST 2005. Present: Mr Stenning (Chair), Mr Matthews, Mrs England, Mrs Regan, Mr Stubbs. In attendance: D. R. Barnes (Clerk)

1. APOLOGIES.

2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING.

The minutes of the previous meeting held on 11th July 2005 having been circulated to all members were accepted as a true record of the meeting and duly signed.

3. MATTERS ARISING.

None.

4. DEMOCRATIC HALF HOUR.

At 7.10pm the meeting was adjourned to enable members of the public to air their views on matters of local interest. At 7.27pm the meeting re-convened to complete the council's agenda, there being no further matters raised.

5. REPORT BY WDDC COUNCILLORS FOR BOTHENHAMPTON.

Mr Tett reported that scrutiny of car parking and the provision of public convenience facilities is ongoing - a report will be published towards the end of the year. The district council is looking at the planning applications process and hopes to provide the general public with an opportunity for involvement. Parish councils will be thoroughly consulted.

6. REPORT BY WDDC COUNCILLOR FOR WALDITCH, MR ROBERTS.

As Mr Roberts was absent from the meeting, no report was given.

7. REPORT BY DCC COUNCILLOR, MR COATSWORTH.

As Mr Coatsworth was absent from the meeting, no report was given

1/W/05/001099 - Hyde Farmhouse, Walditch: Construct vehicular and pedestrian accesses and erect stone piers: Permission granted.
Withdrawn Application - Hyde Farmhouse: 1/W/05/001100 (Listed Building application): Erection of stone piers.
1/W/04/002296: APPEAL against refusal of permission: 6 Valley Road, Bridport: Erect detached house, replacement garage and new vehicular & pedestrian access. Appeal being heard on 11 August 2005. After a discussion, the clerk was instructed to organise with the Chairman the repetition to the planning inspector of the parish council's objections, should this be necessary.

Mr Matthews proposed these accounts should be paid. This was seconded by Mr Stenning and approved by all of the other councillors.

10. REQUESTS FOR GRANTS.

None.

11. PARISH MATTERS.

Footpaths & Roads - The clerk was instructed to chase-up the repair of the footpath steps on Main Street, Bothenhampton. The clerk referred to a copy letter from DCC to Mr Ffooks in which the county offered to strim the banks in Hollow Way, Bothenhampton up to 15 times per year.
DAPTC - Mrs England informed the meeting that the next meeting will be held at Bridport Town Hall on 1st September. The clerk noted receipt of Chief Executive's Circular 10-05.
General - Mr Dennis will visit Mr Chadney of Minard House, Bothenhampton, to ascertain the licensing for serving of alcoholic drinks on the John Holt Play Area whilst it is being used for a family wedding.

Dorset County Museum: Press release ref exhibition celebrating the bicentenary of The Battle of Trafalgar.
Bridport Town Council: Appeal for allotment space in the parish.

The next meeting will be held in Walditch Village Hall on Monday, September 12th 2005 at 7.00pm..
